Professionally

I graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2022, and with an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Psychology, Law & Economics in 2020 with a focus on Economics. In my thesis I focused on international monetary policy and managing fiscal deficit with Italy as a case study. Before Black Swan Capital I worked as Compliance Analyst at a tech start-up, and I am bringing the rigour and attention to detail I learnt there to my work at BSC.

I studied for my certifications as Financial Adviser with The Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI). I now hold a Level 3 Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management and am an Associate member (ACSI) of CISI.

I started working at Black Swan Capital in 2020 as Administrative Assistant and gained valuable experience of the back-end processes of the company before assisting David and Ed with the client-facing activities. Now, as a Client Project Lead, I meet with potential clients when they first come to us and guide them through all the way to our recommendations and ongoing advisory process. I find it enriching to help people define their financial objectives and assist them with the necessary steps to get closer to their goals. These are often major life events, planning for retirement, buying a home, investing for children’s education; and putting my expertise to work towards these goals gives great meaning and purpose to my work.

Personally

Perhaps unsurprisingly for an Italian, I am very passionate about food. But rather than being too conservative with recipes as my compatriots famously are, I just love good ingredients. I will enjoy a carbonara with mushrooms, as long as they are nice mushrooms!

As Italian families do, my parents have a vineyard in Puglia, so throughout the year I help them manage the ongoing maintenance and the wine production at the end of summer. Hopefully it will be available for sale soon!

In my free time I try my hand at stand-up comedy, I started performing in Amsterdam during my undergrads, and fun fact: that’s how I first met Ed. I also practice Feldenkrais, which is a movement method for better posture, and that comes very handy after a long day sitting in front of a computer. During weekends I love going out into the wild, hiking in the mountains. The Alps is a favorite destination but the hills around Bologna work just as well for a quick escape. I recently got a dog, to my girlfriend’s delight, who couldn’t wait for us to get one! So we are now enjoying these walks in nature with him, a German wirehaired pointer who will outrun us as soon as he sees any flying object.
