Black Swan Capital win excellence awards for 3rd year in a row

We are very pleased to announce that Black Swan Capital has been awarded two prestigious International Adviser Excellence awards as a leading firm in Europe. International Adviser is the leading publication for professional financial services firms around the world.

We beat hopefuls from right across the EU to clinch the coveted awards for 2022, which recognise financial advice firms that go the extra mile to deliver excellent service and the best outcomes for clients.

Black Swan Capital was awarded the Excellence in Marketing award and the Excellence in Business Strategy, two awards we also won in 2020. In 2021 we picked up the Excellence in Client Service for Europe.

In awarding these accolades, the judges were impressed with our commitment to client engagement and communication with the broader international community in Europe, as well as our unwavering commitment to our core mission: to deliver the highest standard of truly independent investment and financial advice to the international community in Europe.

The award for excellence in business strategy validates our commitment to delivering the best possible service for expats in Europe. We do things differently, offering transparent and impartial advice, free from jargon, commissions and hidden costs. This award recognises that Black Swan Capital leads the market. This is captured in our underlying philosophy: expats and international professionals in Europe deserve a better deal.

Commenting on winning two awards this year, our chief executive officer, David Bellingham, said he was delighted to receive the awards and paid tribute to everyone in the team at Black Swan Europe for their client-focused approach and hard work.

“This award is a recognition of everyone’s tireless work to deliver an excellent service and great outcomes for clients,” he explained. “We believe that expats in Europe deserve the very highest standards of advice as their situation is often complicated.”

“This means that every solution has to be tailored to their individual circumstances, is based on a deep understanding of the regulations that affect them, and is explained in a straightforward and understandable way.”

Recognition of a first-class service

If you’re a client of Black Swan Europe, you’ll also know we aim to deliver a first-class service by ensuring we’re always available to clients and prospective clients.

As a company, we have specific country of residence expertise across the EU that includes the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Czechia, Croatia, Luxembourg, and Belgium.

In addition, we also have expertise and tailored solutions wherever you are from, including for British, Australian, South African, and US citizens, and US-connected individuals. Expats from the US, as a group, have been consistently overlooked in Europe due to the complexity of FBAR and FATCA – the international tax reporting obligations that exist around Americans. Our focus and demonstrated expertise with Americans in Europe have meant that they are now our second-largest demographic, with many new US-connected leads coming to us from existing clients.

“We feel these awards highlight that, for everyone here at Black Swan Europe, it’s not about taking the path of least resistance, but about doing what’s right for the client,” Managing Director, Edward Mainwaring-Burton added.

“We are sure it was this approach that was recognised by the judges and the reason we have been named winner of these highly sought-after awards.”

The awards are great recognition, however, what we are most proud of is the strong relationships we have with our clients and the satisfaction of helping clients achieve their most important life objectives.
